This...

This was my first Newborn assignment that did not include my daughter, Taylor.  I was a bit nervous because you don't know how a new mom is going to react to you maneuvering her baby in all sorts of positions.  Good thing I was doing this shoot for a friend.  I needed the practice because I am trying to grow this obsession into a side job.
The session took about three hours.  I was sweating bullets for much of the first hour.  After a bit I settled in and spewed signals like Peyton Manning.  Luckily I was not pooped or peed on.  I would say most of the pictures turned out pretty well.  Here is a sample of my favorite.
Like any mechanic or builder will tell you; having the right tools makes all of the difference.  Well, I need some more tools.  Sometimes if feel like I am hammering a nail with a pair of pliers.  I see some "investments" in my future.
If you want to learn more about the technical aspects of these photos let me know.  Be warned, my educational level of photography is equivalent to that of a 2nd grader.  However, teaching something will help me learn.  Feel free to critique these and provide input on likes and dislikes.  Anything will help me improve.  The first photo is unaltered.  The second, a bit of photoshop for effect only.  Click on the picture to blow it up and see it more clearly.

     Stay tuned.
